Problems with Lack of Exercise or Running

Dogs can be like young children. If you don’t give them something constructive to do with their energy, they’ll find something to do on their own-and you may not like it!

  • Destructive chewing, digging or scratching
  • Investigative behaviors, like garbage raiding
  • Hyperactivity, excitability and night-time activity
  • Unruliness, knocking over furniture and jumping up on people
  • Excessive predatory and social play
  • Play biting and rough play
  • Attention-getting behaviors like barking and whining

Benefits of Exercise and Running

The good news is that keeping your dog healthy, happy and out of trouble with daily running is a lot of fun and provides many benefits, including:

  • Reduce or eliminate the common behavior problems such as digging, excessive barking, chewing and hyperactivity
  • Keeps dogs healthy, agile and limber
  • Reduces digestive problems and constipation
  • Helps timid or fearful dogs build confidence and trust
  • Dogs feel sleepy, rather than restless, at bedtime or when you’re relaxing
  • Keep dogs’ weight under control

What we do at KanineFit:

Simply put, we run your pooch. Many studies have shown that running our dogs which is an innate and primal need for them brings out the best in our dogs health both physically and mentally. Let’s not confuse the daily walks we do to relieve them for the day from a good running exercise. We run your dog on our specifically designed state of the art non- motorized self propelled dog mills. We run them at their comfortable pace gradually building them up to a 15-20 minute solid run.

  • Prescription: 2-3x/week or daily for shorter periods
  • Let’s not hold them back, they want to run.
  • Winter? Run them all year round indoors.
  • Avoid the dog parks.
  • You relax while we run your dog
